Students will be moving through the inquiry process in order to gain deeper understanding of their respective Social Studies units.
Grade 6 will begin with Canada's Communities: Past and Present. More specifically, students will explain how various features that characterize
a community can contribute to the identity and
image of a country and evaluate some of the contributions that
various ethnic and/or religious groups have
made to Canadian identity.
This inquiry based learning will take place in the library, where Mrs. Beacom and myself will co-teach! We are looking forward to the heritage fair projects that will likely result from these inquires.
